The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Ambrose misses.
Skidopolopolous tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Skidopolopolous rushes Ambrose and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Skidopolopolous breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ambrose throws a lazy right hand but Skidopolopolous sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Ambrose could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Skidopolopolous shoots for a double leg takedown but Ambrose sprawls well. He's pushed Skidopolopolous's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dean Ambrose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Skidopolopolous.
Ambrose swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Ambrose throws a shot from downtown. Skidopolopolous moves away and avoids it.
Skidopolopolous has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ambrose scores with a crisp jab that stopped Skidopolopolous in his tracks.
Skidopolopolous takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Ambrose missing with a left hand there. Skidopolopolous was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dean Ambrose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Skidopolopolous and Ambrose are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Skidopolopolous throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Ambrose into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Skidopolopolous knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
