PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hyryx Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Lavronenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rattlesnake. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavronenko moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Hyryx Dall has been cut.
Lavronenko throws a hook to the side of Dall's head but Dall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lavronenko misses the shot to the body.

Dall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lavronenko did well to prevent Dall getting side control.

Dall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lavronenko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dall.

Lavronenko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dall. Lavronenko does a little dance to reset his feet.

Lavronenko takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Aleksander Lavronenko has been cut.
Dall with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dall drops his hands momentarily and Lavronenko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dall uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lavronenko has time to react.

Dall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lavronenko defends it nicely.

and Dall makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lavronenko really felt that one!

Dall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A jab from Dall does it's job there.
Lavronenko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dall manages to avoid it.
Dall missing with a left hand there. Lavronenko was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Lavronenko moves into the clinch.
Dall pushes Lavronenko back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lavronenko swings wildly with an uppercut but Dall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lavronenko is pushing Dall up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dall takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lavronenko lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Dall blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Aleksander Lavronenko dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Dall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dall takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lavronenko throws a sloppy head kick and Dall moves out of range easily.
Dall throws a jab but it's blocked by Lavronenko.
A lazy left from Dall finds it's target.

Lavronenko doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Lavronenko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lavronenko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lavronenko.
Dall lands a nice shot that snaps Lavronenko's head back.

Lavronenko takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Lavronenko pushes Dall off but Dall dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lavronenko is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dall asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lavronenko is looking to regain half guard here but Dall keeps moving and retains side control.
Lavronenko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dall's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Dall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lavronenko is just riding it out for now. Dall eventually gives up the hold.
Dall wants to pass the guard but Lavronenko is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lavronenko is trying to stand up here but Dall is controlling him well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hyryx Dall will probably get the nod.

Dall's corner calls for a 1-2. Dall obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Dall throws out a loose jab but Lavronenko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lavronenko looks to score with a jab to the body but Dall is just out of range.

and Dall counters with a nice right hand that sends Lavronenko toppling to the canvas! Lavronenko scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Dall finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lavronenko throws a lazy right hand but Dall sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lavronenko walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Lavronenko limp body while Dall jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
