Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genki Sudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuuto Kawasati!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kawasati closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sudo is looking to regain half guard here but Kawasati keeps moving and retains side control.
Kawasati trying to control the action but Sudo is working from the bottom.
Sudo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sudo is working hard here to advance position.

Sudo wants to improve his position but Kawasati is controlling well.

Kawasati is trying to control the action in half guard but Sudo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Sudo tries to reverse the position but Kawasati maintains control.
Sudo is breathing heavily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sudo is in all sorts of trouble here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kawasati tries to control but Sudo wriggling away.

Kawasati has control of Sudo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sudo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kawasati is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sudo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Sudo tries to reverse the position but Kawasati maintains control.
Sudo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sudo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kawasati is trying to control the position but Sudo postures up.
Sudo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kawasati lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sudo!
Sudo is trying desperately to improve position.
Sudo wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Sudo manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kawasati's guard. Nice work there by Sudo.
Kawasati wants to sweep here but Sudo controlling him for the moment.

Sudo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kawasati to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sudo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kawasati pulls down on the head and he's put Sudo to sleep! This one is all over!
