Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Aspirator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Aspirator!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Davis!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a head kick but Aspirator moves out of range.
Aspirator fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Davis is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Aspirator shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davis napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Davis bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aspirator circles away.
Davis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aspirator is fending him off so far but Davis persists. Nope, Aspirator circles away and we're back to standing.
Aspirator seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Aspirator shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Davis counters by moving into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aspirator is trying to break the clinch but Davis is controlling him.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Davis.
Aspirator jumps guard but Davis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
I was talking to Aspirator's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Aspirator. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Davis decides to pull guard.
Davis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Aspirator trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aspirator trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Davis seems keen to control Aspirator's posture.
Aspirator is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Aspirator throwing strikes but missing.
Aspirator postures up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Davis shoots in but no luck this time.

Aspirator looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Davis!
Aspirator works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Aspirator is trying to get an arm triangle but Davis is defending well.

Aspirator thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Aspirator wants to control but Davis is keeping him busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.

Aspirator looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Davis is looking to reverse the position.

Davis tries to bench press Aspirator off him but Aspirator keeps the position.
Aspirator prevents Davis from escaping the position.
Davis is trying to control Aspirator's posture but Aspirator avoids it.
Aspirator happy to just control the position for now.
Davis is looking to reverse the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Aspirator tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aspirator trying to control the position but Davis is working away.
Aspirator creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Aspirator decides to stand back up.
Davis lands the left hand.
Jack Aspirator seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aspirator shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Aspirator was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Aspirator is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Aspirator will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Aspirator tries for a takedown but Davis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Davis shoots in but Aspirator avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aspirator's waist but Aspirator gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side.

Davis rushes Aspirator and presses him up against the cage.

Davis decides to pull guard.
Davis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Davis wants to sweep but no luck.
Aspirator stands and throws Davis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aspirator has hold of Davis's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Davis seems comfortable defending it but Aspirator has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Davis is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Davis is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Aspirator couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Aspirator!
