The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapu misses with a takedown
letting Codyvaldez counter with a right hand.
Lapu fails with the takedown
and Codyvaldez counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Codyvaldez moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lapu needs to keep his hands up - Codyvaldez had a free shot at his head there.
Lapu on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lapu fails with the takedown
and Codyvaldez counters by clinching up.
Putnam Codyvaldez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lapu Lapu.
A body shot lands from Codyvaldez.
Lapu drops down looking for an ankle pick but Codyvaldez pulls his leg out and moves away.
A jab lands there for Codyvaldez.
Lapu closes the distance but Codyvaldez moves to the side
and Codyvaldez counters with a left to the body.

Lapu misses with a takedown attempt
and Codyvaldez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lapu looks winded!

and Codyvaldez counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lapu! Codyvaldez lets Lapu back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Lapu is rocked!
It looks like Lapu Lapu has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Codyvaldez engages and cracks Lapu with a massive lead left hook - Lapu tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Codyvaldez is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
