The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahoney misses with a wild combination.
Teixeira is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Teixeira swings for the body but Mahoney moves out of range.
The crowd cheers as Teixeira lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mahoney doesn't seem phased though.
Teixeira throws a shot from downtown. Mahoney moves away and avoids it.

and Teixeira holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Teixeira just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mahoney's brow.
Teixeira misses with some punches.
Mahoney lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Mahoney prevents a body shot from Teixeira.

Mahoney misses with a short punch on the inside.
A right handed body shot lands from Mahoney.

Teixeira throws a punch but it's blocked by Mahoney.

Mahoney lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Teixeira backwards.

Mahoney manages to break the clinch.
Mahoney lands with a nice body punch.

Mahoney feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Teixeira sprawling to the canvas! Teixeira rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mahoney finish him?!

Teixeira is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mahoney throws a pinpoint strike between Teixeira's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Teixeira crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Mahoney scores a great knockout victory!
