Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emmanuel Montes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and josh mccabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Emmanuel Montes has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emmanuel Montes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, josh mccabe!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts mccabe as he jumps to the side.

Montes takes the fight into the clinch.

Montes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Montes looking to control.
Montes keeping moving, preventing mccabe from controlling successfully.
mccabe is pushing down on Montes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Montes is fighting to maintain full guard but mccabe has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Montes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in mccabe's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as mccabe holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Montes misses with a takedown attempt - mccabe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

mccabe pushes Montes back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Montes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Montes drops back looking for a leg! mccabe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and mccabe manages to kick Montes off! Montes jumps back into mccabe's guard.

mccabe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Montes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Montes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Emmanuel Montes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

mccabe shoots in and bounces Montes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Montes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. mccabe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Montes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take mccabe's back instead.

Montes has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, mccabe has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Well mccabe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
