The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Knorr's hands.
Teixeira avoids the head kick by Knorr.
Teixeira swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Knorr looks to throw a body kick
and Teixeira counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Knorr tries a head kick but it misses.
Teixeira swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Good standup being displayed there by Teixeira as he connects with a hook.
Knorr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Matheus Knorr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knorr throws a body kick that misses.
Knorr wants to clinch
and Teixeira counters with a straight right hand.
Knorr is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Knorr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Teixeira paws at him with a jab and circles away.
As Knorr tries to get set, Teixeira tries to push him back and clinch up but Knorr manages to avoid the attempt.
Teixeira swats away the attempt to clinch by Knorr.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Knorr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Teixeira lands with a cross.

No joy there for Knorr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Knorr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Teixeira manages to avoid it.
Teixeira wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Knorr misses with a hook to the body
and Teixeira counters with a stiff right hand.
Knorr takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Knorr swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Teixeira counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Knorr closes the distance but Teixeira moves to the side
and Teixeira counters with a left to the body.
Knorr tries to land a front kick but Teixeira steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Knorr throws a low kick, looking for Teixeira's leg but Teixeira calmly moves out of range.
Teixeira seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Teixeira counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Teixeira counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Teixeira makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Teixeira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Teixeira throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Knorr fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Teixeira is leaning against Knorr and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Teixeira digs a right hand into Knorr's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Knorr's gas tank.
