Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clayton Laurence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ventura lands a big head kick that sends Laurence tumbling to the mat! Ventura takes a step backwards and waves Laurence back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ventura tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laurence manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Laurence manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ventura on his heels. He'll look to pass Ventura's guard now, I'm sure.

Ventura manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Laurence tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ventura smiles and moves away.
Ventura shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Laurence sprawls well. Laurence wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ventura gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
