Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Coke Montana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Brian Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Montana. Pereira does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pereira tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Montana misses with a hook. Pereira ducked under it nicely.
Montana has been working on his boxing with his coaches at GWad's Playpen in the buildup to the fight.
Pereira does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pereira dives in for a single leg takedown but Montana sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Montana.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pereira crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Montana - the referee stops the clock and Pereira gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Montana. Pereira manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Montana has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Montana and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Pereira shoots in for a takedown but Montana shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Coke Montana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Pereira.

That was a close second round but I would say that Coke Montana will probably get the nod.
