Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fatey Ahmad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Rydell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rydell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ahmad counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ahmad rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rydell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ahmad blocks a head kick by Rydell.

Rydell moves into the clinch.

Rydell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Rydell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ahmad defends it well.

Rydell stops Ahmad from getting back to his feet.

Rydell seems to be working for a kimura but Ahmad defends the submission attempt.
Ahmad is in trouble now - Rydell has advanced to mount!
Ahmad wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rydell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Rydell breaks from Ahmad's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Rydell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Rydell lands a couple of good shots and Ahmad has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Rydell lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Rydell is cranking Ahmad's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Ahmad! He's tightened the choke and Ahmad is tapping out!
