The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Veen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Mayorga.
Veen avoids the head kick by Mayorga.
Mayorga rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Veen counter with a right hand.
Mayorga misses with a leg kick.
Veen slips a straight right by Mayorga.
Mayorga throws a body shot but no joy.
Mayorga throws a leg kick but Veen sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Veen staying out of range there.

Veen swings for the body but Mayorga moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Veen digs a right hand underneath Mayorga's ribcage. Mayorga let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Veen pushes Mayorga against the cage. Veen is working some dirty boxing. Veen pushes off with a quick right hook! Mayorga goes down! Mayorga tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Veen moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
