Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon has chosen Saturday Nights All Right For Fighting as his entrance music. Buddy Dixon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vince Zimmerman's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Zimmerman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dixon was covering up waiting for the punch and Zimmerman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Zimmerman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Dixon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zimmerman is one step ahead there.

Dixon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Zimmerman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Zimmerman stands up over Dixon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Zimmerman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Zimmerman counters by moving into the clinch.

Zimmerman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dixon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dixon jabs Zimmerman right on the nose. Zimmerman blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Vince Zimmerman has been cut.

Dixon scores with a nice head shot.

Zimmerman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Zimmerman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Zimmerman happy to just control the position for now.
Dixon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zimmerman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Zimmerman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zimmerman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Zimmerman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dixon avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Zimmerman.
Zimmerman throws a strike aimed at the side of Dixon's head but Dixon avoids it well.

Dixon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Zimmerman tries to move into range but Dixon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Are you kidding me?! Dixon ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Zimmerman clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
