Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleman scores with a takedown into Carano's guard.

Coleman has his foot on Carano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carano works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carano steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Coleman.
Carano doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Coleman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Carano!
Coleman prevents Carano from getting the reversal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Carano has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Carano!

Carano wants to pass the guard but Coleman is keeping the position.

Coleman passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carano!

Coleman fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Coleman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Coleman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Carano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Coleman counters with a takedown into side control.
Carano is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Coleman is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Coleman extends the arm and Carano is forced to tap!
