Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing.
Hunt feints the counter takedown.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hunt but Hunt pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunt tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Khalil Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The referee asks Hunt politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hunt prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Hunt sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hunt remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
