The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hall tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Bass shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hall's guard.

Hall is looking to stand up but Bass isn't so interested in that idea.
Hall bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bass's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hall wants to stand but Bass has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hall doesn't manage to clinch there - Bass circles away.

King Bass dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hall lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Hall shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hall was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bass gets back to half guard.
Bass is looking to control Hall's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bass avoid being mounted?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
