Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Snook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Britz Omega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Snook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Britz Omega!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snook tries to clinch up.

Omega drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Snook wants to sweep but no luck.
Snook keeping full guard, as Omega tries to pass.

Omega got a little sloppy there for a moment and Snook has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Omega has managed to get both his arms back between Snook's legs - danger averted.
Omega seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Omega trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Omega wants to stand but Snook is controlling his posture from full guard.

Omega wants to control from the top but Snook keeps moving.
Omega working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Omega throws a sloppy head kick and Snook moves out of range easily.
Snook wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Omega fails in his attempt to clinch.
Snook shoots in looking for a takedown but Omega manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Snook's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Snook throws a nice looking combination but Omega bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Omega tries to counter with a clinch but Snook shakes him off and moves away.
Snook shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from Omega. No joy for Snook on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Snook. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snook goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Snook jabs Omega right on the nose. Omega blinks but takes it well.

Omega dives in and scores a takedown into Snook's guard.

Omega with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Omega makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Omega wants to pass the guard but Snook is keeping the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Snook can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Omega controls the pace.
Snook seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Omega works over Snook with some ground and pound from guard.

Snook working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Omega doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Omega manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Omega wants to stand but Snook has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Omega shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Snook eats them both and turns towards Omega to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Patrick Snook has been cut.
Snook fails with a takedown attempt.
Omega wants to counter the offense by Snook and move into the clinch position.
Omega slaps away a takedown attempt from Snook, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Omega misses with a two punch combination.
Snook is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Omega feints and as Snook raises his hands in defense, Omega changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Omega postures up in Snook's guard and throws a big left but Snook blocks it.
Omega wants to pass the guard but Snook is keeping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Britz Omega dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Patrick Snook's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Snook is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Omega defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Snook.
Snook is trying hard to land a takedown here. Omega sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Omega closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Snook sneaks out the side door and pushes Omega away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Snook throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Omega's waist but Omega gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Snook off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Snook. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Omega throws a head kick that misses.

Omega fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Snook sprawls well initially but Omega persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Snook is concentrating on defense, preventing Omega from advancing position.
Snook is trying to stand.
Omega seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Omega drops an elbow to the side of Snook's head.


Snook is rocked!
Omega perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Oh Snook is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Omega is nestled in close to Snook, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Omega is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Omega landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Omega connects with a nice short shot to Snook's temple.
Omega really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snook. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Omega is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Omega passes to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snook really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Omega drops a big elbow. That's hurt Snook! More shots from Omega and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
