PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mason Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yevgeni Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kozlov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. For those about to Rock kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yevgeni Kozlov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kozlov clinches up against the cage.
Kim tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kozlov smiles and moves away.

Kozlov gets the takedown into side control.
Kozlov in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Kozlov cracks Kim with a big elbow.

Kozlov tries for a kimura but Kim is defending well.
Kim is trying to control Kozlov's posture but Kozlov avoids it.

Kozlov is working to tighten his grip on Kim's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kim has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kozlov is really squeezing tight and eventually Kim passes out! Kozlov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Yevgeni Kozlov was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
