PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Flannery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Hari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flannery comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Hari comes into a darkened arena with his song building. King Drum kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flannery decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Flannery seems to be looking for submissions.
Hari tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Flannery working over Hari with some ground and pound. Hari looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Flannery looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hari with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Flannery lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Flannery drops an elbow to the side of Hari's head.
Hari is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Flannery winds up and cracks Hari with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Flannery is nestled in close to Hari, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Flannery wants to work for an arm triangle but Hari is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hari throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Hari seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flannery is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hari defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flannery lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hari quite badly. Hari pulls Flannery in close trying to recover. Flannery postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hari on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hari doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
