The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McDonald, pushing him back against the cage.
McDonald tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
McDonald takes a shot right to the bread basket.

McDonald tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silva throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
McDonald tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Silva throws an elbow that misses.
Silva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McDonald.
Big Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lard McDonald.
Silva lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

It looks like Lard McDonald has been cut.
McDonald looks winded!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva misses with an elbow strike.
Silva works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Silva gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Silva lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down McDonald.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McDonald avoids the elbow strike from Silva, against the cage.
Silva looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Silva presses McDonald against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Silva misses with an elbow over the top.
Silva lands a left hand.
Silva pushes off an throws an elbow but McDonald leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Silva drops McDonald onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! McDonald is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

McDonald is rocked!
Silva creates a bit of space for himself and rocks McDonald with a big uppercut! McDonald tries to clinch up but Silva pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples McDonald to the mat! McDonald covers up and Silva unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Big Silva!
Lard McDonald was interviewed post fight and said 'I am done with this, I'm going home bye suckers'.
