The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Hunt darts in and clinches Barnes up against the cage.
Hunt throws a punch but it's blocked by Barnes.

Barnes breaks the clinch.
Hunt throws a predictable looking body shot
and Barnes counters with a stiff right hand.
Hunt tries to move into range but Barnes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Hunt is rocked!
Hunt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hunt is still on wobbly legs! Can Barnes finish him?
Barnes lands with a good body shot.
Barnes scores with a punch to the head.
Hunt lands with a hook. Barnes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hunt throws a combination that misses
and Barnes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A bone on bone clash there as Barnes blocks the leg kick.

Barnes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hunt, pushing him back against the cage.
Hunt seems to have recovered his senses.

Hunt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Frank Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting Barnes counter with a right hand.
Barnes tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Barnes scores with a decent looking hook.
Hunt throws a combination that misses
and Barnes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Barnes walks into a stiff left hand from Hunt.

and Hunt takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hunt tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Barnes counters with a right hand to the body.
Hunt walks straight into a right hand from Barnes - that's dropped him! Barnes jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hunt from any more punishment! Hunt complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
