PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seamus Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Veins- Huntr . The crowd seem to be enjoying Sanchez's choice of entrance music: Metallica - Enter Sandman. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hunter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanchez was well out of range. Poor timing from Hunter.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hunter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sanchez throws a right hand that Hunter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunter also avoids with ease.
Sanchez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Sanchez misses with a series of wild punches.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sanchez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sanchez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A little jabbing left from Sanchez on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hunter doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Sanchez.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunter finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Sanchez's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Hunter falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Sanchez!
