Kaeo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Survival by Eminem. Namaka Kaeo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Therrien fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kaeo is looking to counter punch.
Kaeo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Therrien looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kaeo is fending him off so far but Therrien persists. Nope, Kaeo circles away and we're back to standing.
Therrien doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kaeo counters by clinching up.

Kaeo jumps guard and drags Therrien to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kaeo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kaeo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Therrien can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Therrien advances to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Therrien is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kaeo is defending against the submission attempts here by Therrien.
Therrien looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kaeo is controlling Therrien's trapped leg to prevent Therrien from advancing to side control.

Therrien is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Therrien wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kaeo keeps working.

Therrien is working for a kimura but Kaeo is defending it quite comfortably.
Kaeo's coaches at Cozad The Island have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Kaeo tries to roll over but Therrien keeps him under control.
Kaeo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kaeo tries to get out of the position.
Therrien passes to side control.

Kaeo wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Therrien has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Kaeo's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Kaeo is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Therrien!
