Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Cooke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lard McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lard McDonald has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cooke tries to roll over but McDonald keeps him under control.
McDonald slows the pace down in half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cooke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McDonald is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McDonald is looking to take a break and control but Cooke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cooke flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. McDonald lands a nice short elbow.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McDonald wants to pass to mount but Cooke is defending the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Cooke gets caught napping as McDonald dives in and scores a takedown. Cooke manages to retain guard.
McDonald postures up.

McDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cooke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cooke wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Cooke is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McDonald's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McDonald's back!

McDonald is landing with some decent strikes but Cooke is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
McDonald postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cooke in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cooke to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
