Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lesley Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Hegg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hegg's choice of entrance music: Twilight of the Thunder God. Johan Hegg is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gill avoids the head kick by Hegg.

Hegg throws a sloppy head kick and Gill moves out of range easily.
Gill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looked like Gill was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Gill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hegg as he jumps to the side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gill enables Hegg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gill manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hegg gets to his feet - Gill follows without any prompting.
Gill shoots in looking for a takedown. Hegg tries to sprawl out of it but Gill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hegg manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Good leg kick by Hegg there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Hegg lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Gill goes down and covers up as Hegg starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
