PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and marcus jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jones has chosen my god as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sims is working jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sims with a nice head shot there.

It looks like marcus jones has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sims postures up in jones's guard and throws a big left but jones blocks it.
Sims throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

jones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sims accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sims in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sims stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sims with a nice head shot there.

The cut above marcus jones's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Sims stands up and waves to jones to follow him.

jones darts in and clinches Sims up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sims looking for a takedown.
jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sims just stands there and leans against the cage.
Knees to the body from jones.
Sims wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but jones has him pressed against the cage.

Sims lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
jones is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sims lands a nice short elbow.

marcus jones's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Sims looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at marcus jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
