Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Three Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dog might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fallout. Sam Wilson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Three Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Wilson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog misses with a hook. Wilson ducked under it nicely.
Wilson misses with a body kick.
Dog takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Three Dog has been cut.
Dog misses with an uppercut. Wilson saw that one coming.
A little jabbing left from Wilson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Dog checks a leg kick.
Wilson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dog circles away.
Dog lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Dog defending well as Wilson loads up on a big left hand.
Dog goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Dog avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Dog changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
It looked like Dog wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Nice uppercut lands for Wilson. That snapped Dog's head back.

Wilson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wilson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dog tries to sprawl but Wilson drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Dog throws his legs up looking for a submission but Wilson uses it to pass to side control.

Dog is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wilson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dog manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Dog is looking to improve his position.

Dog is staying active underneath Wilson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wilson lands a nice short elbow.
Dog tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Wilson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wilson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dog is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The cut man is working on Three Dog's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dog avoids a kick to the body.
Wilson lands a leg kick that knocks Dog off balance momentarily.
Wilson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Dog sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Wilson misses with an uppercut.
Dog takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Wilson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


It looks like Sam Wilson has been cut.

enabling Dog to counter with a crisp jab.
Dog looks for the body kick but Wilson saw that one coming.
Wilson connects with a solid leg kick.
Wilson moves away from the strike by Dog.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Wilson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Wilson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wilson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dog's guard.

Wilson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dog has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wilson has managed to get both his arms back between Dog's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dog wants to sweep here but Wilson controlling him for the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Wilson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dog stacks Wilson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dog!

Wilson is looking to improve his position but Dog isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wilson has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

A close second round but Sam Wilson will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Dog throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
We've been told by Dog's head coaches at Sweat that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wilson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dog.
Wilson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Dog takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Sam Wilson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wilson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
