Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bomb Com (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Birmbaum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Com's entrance music is Bombs Away. A fine choice. Bomb Com has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bomb Com!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chance Birmbaum!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Com throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Com doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Birmbaum misses the body punch
and Com counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Com.
Com digs a good hook to Birmbaum's body.
Birmbaum checks the leg kick.
Com takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Com's jab looks to have found its range, popping Birmbaum under the eye.
Com throws a nice looking combination but Birmbaum bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Birmbaum tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Com was well out of range. Poor timing from Birmbaum.

Birmbaum shoots in and gets a takedown into Com's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Com working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Birmbaum.
Com pulls Birmbaum in close to prevent any damage.
Com looking for a sweep. Not yet Com, not yet.

Com wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Birmbaum works on Com's body with a couple of short punches.

Birmbaum working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Com doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Com manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Birmbaum can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Com controls the pace.
Birmbaum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Com passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Com throws a strike aimed at the side of Birmbaum's head but Birmbaum avoids it well.
Birmbaum is looking to regain half guard here but Com keeps moving and retains side control.
Com in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Birmbaum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Com wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Com fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Birmbaum manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Birmbaum is trying to control but can't.

Birmbaum is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Com pulls his head out easily.
Birmbaum works his way to full guard. Good work.

Com wants to control from the top but Birmbaum keeps moving.
Com is really struggling to control Birmbaum but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Birmbaum working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Com doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Com manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Birmbaum looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Com wants to control from the top but Birmbaum keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Chance Birmbaum will probably get the nod.
That's time! Com's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Com holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Birmbaum is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Com misses with a hook from the clinch.

Com manages to break the clinch.

Com tries a body shot but Birmbaum blocks it.
Com misses with a punch to the body.
Com working aggressively here.
Birmbaum blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Com lands a right hand that snaps the head of Birmbaum backwards.
Birmbaum scores with a shoulder strike.
Birmbaum has Com pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Com manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Com lands a nice uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Com creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Birmbaum jumps guard but Com turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bomb Com has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Birmbaum.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Birmbaum is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Com can't fight it off and eventually Birmbaum manages to take the fight to the floor. Com looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chance Birmbaum has got the better of the ground game so far.
Com manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Birmbaum manages to get himself to full guard.

Birmbaum escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Com gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Com has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Birmbaum bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Com's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bomb Com is winning the standup battle so far.
Com throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Birmbaum lands with an overhand left.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bomb Com dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Com connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Com throws out a leg kick but Birmbaum moves out of range and Com only half commits.
Com throws a lazy right hand but Birmbaum sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Birmbaum has closed the distance and engaged Com in a clinch.
Birmbaum stalling in the clinch but Com improves position.
Birmbaum blocks an uppercut.
Com lands with a light punch inside.

Com breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Birmbaum forces Com back against the cage and clinches.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Com.
Com tries a body shot but Birmbaum blocks it.
Com misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Com escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Birmbaum blocks a jab.
Birmbaum steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Com.
Birmbaum misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Com.

Com has Birmbaum up against the cage in a clinch.
Birmbaum swings away with an uppercut that misses.

A right hook to the body lands for Com.
Birmbaum has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Com after a bit of a struggle.
Com lands a right hand.
Birmbaum jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Com walks away with a smile on his face. Birmbaum gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Com scores with a nice right hand.
Com swings for the body but Birmbaum moves out of range.
Birmbaum throws a poor cross that misses
and Com counters with a nice body kick.
Birmbaum is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Com rather than just go for the knockout.
Birmbaum takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Com takes the fight into the clinch.
Com lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Birmbaum or not.
Birmbaum working aggressively here.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Com.
Com lands a shoulder strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A shot in the inside from Com.
Birmbaum has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Com is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bomb Com has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Birmbaum.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Com, right into the meat.
Com lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Com blocks a jab.
Com connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Birmbaum throws a lazy head kick
and Com counters with a straight right hand.
Com tests Birmbaum's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Com lands a big head kick that sends Birmbaum to the canvas! Com follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Bomb Com tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
