These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vrinceanu blocks a head kick by Pilsudski.
Vrinceanu shoots for a takedown but Pilsudski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pilsudski lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Pilsudski has a takedown stuffed.
Pilsudski darts in looking for a takedown but Vrinceanu gets double underhooks and turns Pilsudski into the cage.
Vrinceanu tries to counter with a takedown but Pilsudski is quick to defend against it.

Vrinceanu tries to keep at a distance but Pilsudski has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vrinceanu gets control of Pilsudski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vrinceanu will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
