Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Carter looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyle Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Guerrero!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a combination. Guerrero tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Guerrero closes the distance and pushes Carter back into the cage.
Guerrero wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Carter is trying to drag Guerrero to the mat but Guerrero just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Guerrero fails to pull guard.
Guerrero is working for takedown but Carter is calmly controlling the position for now.
Carter definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Carter is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Guerrero is defending well for now.
Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Guerrero tries to pull guard but Carter holds him up against the cage and eventually Guerrero drops back down to his feet.
Kyle Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Guerrero.

Carter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guerrero leaves Carter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Carter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carter wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters circling a little - Carter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Carter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Guerrero is controlling Carter's trapped leg to prevent Carter from advancing to side control.
Guerrero is trying to get back to full guard.
Guerrero wants to control but Carter is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Guerrero is not content to let Carter control the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Carter shoots in for a double leg but Guerrero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Guerrero tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it.
Guerrero goes for a double leg but Carter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carter continues to drive forward.

Kyle Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Carter.
Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guerrero's waist but Guerrero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side.
Carter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Carter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Guerrero throws out a counter right but Carter avoids it with no problem.

Guerrero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carter as he jumps to the side.

Carter keeps Guerrero at a distance using the push kick.

Guerrero lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Carter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Guerrero is fending him off so far but Carter persists. Nope, Guerrero circles away and we're back to standing.

Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Guerrero.

Guerrero gets tackled into the cage by Carter. Carter maintains the clinch.
Guerrero fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Carter blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Guerrero is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Carter to keep the fight standing.

Guerrero shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Guerrero keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Carter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Carter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Guerrero defends well and Carter ends up having to push Guerrero into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Carter scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Carter throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Guerrero throws a sloppy head kick and Carter moves out of range easily.

Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guerrero looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Carter lands a high kick!

Carter shoots in for a takedown but Guerrero shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Guerrero tries to counter by closing the distance.
Guerrero misses with a takedown attempt - Carter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Guerrero fails in his attempt to clinch.
Guerrero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As Guerrero tries to get set, Carter tries to push him back and clinch up but Guerrero manages to avoid the attempt.

Daniel Guerrero has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kyle Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Carter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Guerrero can do to turn this around?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
