The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Terrible but Terrible pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mamen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Terrible moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Terrible fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mamen, pushing him back against the cage.

Terrible jumps into guard, dragging Mamen to the mat.

Terrible is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mamen tries to roll over but Terrible keeps him under control.

Ivan Terrible has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ads Mamen.

Terrible feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Terrible decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Mamen wants to get back to his feet.

Mamen tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Terrible moves into the clinch.

Terrible has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mamen clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Terrible controlling from the back.

Terrible has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mamen! Can he survive? No! He's out! Terrible gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
