Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tristan Lancier and Paul Jones. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Tristan Lancier! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Paul Jones!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

Jones stuffs the takedown.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lancier manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Lancier in his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lancier seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.

Lancier drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lancier jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lancier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lancier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lancier can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.

Lancier has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jones is trying to reverse the position but instead Lancier has taken his back - oops!

Lancier is working for a rear naked choke. Jones is not defending it well and Lancier has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Jones refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Jones's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
