The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Garcia.
Silva throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Silva is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Garcia sees it coming and defends easily.

Garcia pulls Silva in close to his closed guard and prevents Silva from doing any damage or advancing position.

Garcia had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Garcia Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.
What can Silva do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Silva wants to control his opponent's hands but Garcia gets his hands free.
Silva is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet but Garcia has full control of the position and if anything, Silva has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Garcia slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
