Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Li Zhou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhou comes into the arena with Title Fight - Your Pain Is Mine Now blaring out of the sound system. Li Zhou could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tommy King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Li Zhou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy King!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhou wants to clinch.
King avoids the head kick by Zhou.

Zhou closes the distance and clinches.
The referee calls for Zhou to work.
King lands a left hand that snaps the head of Zhou backwards.
King's coach down at LOD: Black Label was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on King's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Zhou misses with some punches.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Zhou is trying to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King tries to throw a body punch but Zhou avoids it by throwing King back against the ropes.
Zhou lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of King backwards.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
King lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Zhou misses with an elbow over the top.
Zhou leaning his opponent against the ropes.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zhou wants to clinch
and King cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
King misses with a body shot.
Zhou is looking to counter the offense by King and move into the clinch.
Zhou tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. King manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zhou looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It seemed like King was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
King swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zhou tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zhou misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zhou misses with a head kick.

King throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Zhou takes one on the chin but seems OK.
King takes one to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zhou pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zhou missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Zhou gets a clinch.
Zhou doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Zhou blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zhou is looking to clinch.
King takes a swing at Zhou's ribcage but misses.
Zhou misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy King dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Zhou throws the left hand but King avoids the punch easily.
Zhou closes the distance but King moves to the side
and King counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zhou thinking.
King scores with a nice right hand.
Li Zhou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King cracks Zhou with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Zhou tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
King keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
King scores with the left hand. Zhou knows he should have avoided that one.
King slips a straight right by Zhou.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zhou rushes King and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Zhou misses with a hook from the clinch.
Zhou with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
King tries to work over Zhou's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Zhou.
Zhou lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
King goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
King lands with a short head shot on the inside.
King blocks an uppercut.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from King.
Zhou misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from King.
King lands a left hand.
Zhou misses with a knee to the head.
King tries to throw a body punch but Zhou avoids it by throwing King back against the ropes.
King tries to work over Zhou's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
King scores with an uppercut up the middle.
King swings wildly with an uppercut but Zhou uses good head movement to avoid it.
A right hook to the body lands for King.
King lands with a short shot to the head.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King managing to block the knees to the body from Zhou.
Zhou's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King blocks a body shot from Zhou.
King tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Zhou's elbow.
King lands a body punch in the clinch.
Zhou's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Zhou trying to stall but King improves his position.
King makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Zhou looking to stall.
Zhou misses with the head strike.
Zhou throws a knee to the head but misses.
A left hand lands to the body for King.
King avoids a wild elbow strike from Zhou.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

enabling King to counter with a crisp jab.
King lands a slapping body shot.
Zhou misses with a lunging right hand
and King counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
King is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
King uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zhou.
King let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Zhou ducks under a wild hook from King.
King swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King throws a looping overhand right but Zhou ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as King lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zhou doesn't seem phased though.
King avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from King! But no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from King. Zhou does a little dance to reset his feet.
King ducks under a wild hook from Zhou.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zhou wants to clinch

and King counters with a straight right that drops Zhou on his ass! Zhou jumps back to his feet. He seems OK to continue so we'll get back to the action.
King throws out a powerful jab.
King keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zhou.
Tommy King seems to be getting the better of the standup.
King avoids the head kick by Zhou.
King looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Zhou moves to clinch but King breaks away
and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


Zhou is rocked!
Zhou tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Zhou's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Zhou - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Tommy King!
