Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Gallegos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Penduko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penduko darts in and clinches Gallegos up against the cage.
Gallegos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Penduko smiles and moves away.

Penduko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gallegos closes the distance and clinches up with Penduko, looking for a takedown. Gallegos pushes Penduko against the cage but Penduko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gallegos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Penduko walks away with a smile on his face. Gallegos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Penduko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Gallegos has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Penduko uses from the top position.

Gallegos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Penduko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gallegos is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Penduko can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Penduko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gallegos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gallegos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
