The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulsen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Paulsen throws a low kick but Khaan moves out of range easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Khaan misses.
Khaan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Paulsen has time to react.

It looks like Paul Paulsen has been cut.
Paul Paulsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khaan throws a body shot but no joy.
Paulsen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Khaan misses the shot to the body.
Paulsen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khaan.
Khaan takes a swing at Paulsen's ribcage but misses.
Khaan just misses with a punch to the body.
Paulsen misses with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paulsen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Khaan to score with a decent uppercut.
Khaan throws a body shot but no joy.
Khaan is looking to clinch but Paulsen is avoiding it.
Paulsen throws a hook but Khaan avoids it easily.

Khaan has closed the distance and engaged Paulsen in a clinch.
Paulsen misses with a short punch on the inside.
Paulsen lands a body shot in the clinch.
Paulsen pushes off an throws an elbow but Khaan leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Khaan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Paulsen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khaan manages to avoid it.
Khaan looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Khaan throws a body punch but Paulsen moves out of range.
Paulsen scores with a nice strike.
Paulsen lands a leg kick that knocks Khaan off balance momentarily.
Paulsen tries to close the distance and clinch but Khaan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Khaan throws a body punch but Paulsen moves out of range.
Paulsen lands a right hook to the body.
Khaan avoids the body shot from Paulsen.
Khaan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Paulsen misses with a straight right.
Khaan now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Khaan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Darius Khaan has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Khaan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paulsen.
Khaan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Paulsen looks to score with a jab to the body but Khaan is just out of range.
Paulsen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Khaan's head backwards.
Paulsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paulsen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A nice side step and Khaan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Khaan ducks under a wild hook from Paulsen.
Paulsen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Khaan lands a nice looking body shot.
Khaan looks to land a combination but Paulsen avoids it well.
Paulsen lands a right and a left and another right! Khaan goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!

A very excited looking Paul Paulsen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
