Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonnhy Five!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Harold Nicolas!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicolas fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nicolas works the jab nicely.
Five seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Five drives through and clinches with Nicolas against the cage.
Nicolas blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Nicolas breaks from the clinch.
Nicolas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nicolas throws out a counter right but Five avoids it with no problem.
Five clinches with his opponent.
Nicolas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Five fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nicolas sizes up Five with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Five tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Nicolas counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Five doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Five slips under a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nicolas thuds his right hand into Five's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nicolas connects with the punch.
Five tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nicolas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nicolas has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Five is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jonnhy Five seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Five shoots for a double leg takedown but Nicolas sprawls well. He's pushed Five's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Five throws a series of punches but Nicolas avoids them all with ease.
Nicolas looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Nicolas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Five counters with a straight right hand.
Nicolas bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nicolas jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Five on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Nicolas. That snapped Five's head back.
Five is rocked!
Nicolas circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Five to the canvas! Five doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Nicolas keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harold Nicolas!
