PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kim Rhee Daebyeol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonzo Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alonzo Green was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kim Rhee Daebyeol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alonzo Green!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daebyeol shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Green sprawls well. Green wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daebyeol gets slowly back to his feet.

Daebyeol fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Green to the ground. Daebyeol is now in Green's guard.

Green wriggles free and stands up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Green tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Daebyeol wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Daebyeol remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
