Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darian McGorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by entrance. Darian McGorman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Takanori Gomi's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGorman thumps Gomi with a low kick.
McGorman doesn't manage to clinch there - Gomi circles away.
McGorman thumps Gomi with a low kick.
McGorman tries to clinch but Gomi moves out of range.
McGorman scores with a head kick.
McGorman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gomi moves out of range of the leg kick from McGorman.
McGorman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Gomi circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gomi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McGorman sprawls well initially but Gomi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gomi connects with a nice short shot to McGorman's temple.

McGorman is trying to stand up here but Gomi is controlling him well.
Gomi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
McGorman is trying to stand.
Gomi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Gomi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Gomi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGorman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gomi tries to pass to full mount but McGorman defends it.
Gomi drops an elbow to the side of McGorman's head.
McGorman looks gassed!
Gomi uses his free foot to push down on McGorman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McGorman.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gomi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
McGorman tries to buck Gomi off but he can't manage it.
The referee warns McGorman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like Darian McGorman has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McGorman is bucking up trying to escape but Gomi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

McGorman is rocked!

That has opened up Darian McGorman's cut even more.
Gomi lands a big elbow.
McGorman is still in real trouble! Can Gomi finish him?

The cut above Darian McGorman's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gomi is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and McGorman goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Gomi!
