PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aribert Heim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Cronos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cronos has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Aribert Heim has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aribert Heim seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 34 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Cronos!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Heim finds it's way through Cronos's defenses.
Cronos goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Aribert Heim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cronos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cronos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Heim cracks Cronos with a right hand to the side of the head.

Cronos has his foot on Heim's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Heim works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
