Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lesley Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGregor is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Notorious. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor misses with a double jab
and Gill counters with a three punch combo that has McGregor backing up. McGregor nods at Gill to acknowledge the strikes.
McGregor throws a series of punches but Gill avoids them all with ease.
McGregor leaves Gill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gill closes the distance and clinches up with McGregor, looking for a takedown. Gill pushes McGregor against the cage but McGregor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A combination from McGregor does no damage.
Gill feinted with a counter takedown.
Gill dives in for a single leg takedown but McGregor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lesley Gill. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gill shoots in and drives through. McGregor sprawls well.
McGregor throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gill gets a takedown into half guard.
Gill seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
McGregor wants to stand back up but Gill manages to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGregor is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
McGregor is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Gill tries for a kimura but McGregor is defending well.

Gill decides to stand back up.

Gill tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGregor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gill somewhat.
McGregor throws a nice looking combination but Gill bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

McGregor rushes Gill and presses him up against the cage.
Gill wants to break free but McGregor has control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McGregor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McGregor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gill makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gill fails to land the takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. McGregor moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Gill! McGregor continues to tee off on Gill, landing with a left and a right! McGregor connects with a right hand that leaves Gill sleeping against the cage! What a finish by McGregor!

In his post fight interview, Conor McGregor started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
