Nukem creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Powell's defenses.
Nukem pushes off an throws an elbow but Powell leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Powell creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Powell loads up on a big right hand but Nukem slips the punch.
Powell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nukem moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Powell might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Nukem tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Powell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nukem is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Powell's half guard.

Powell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nukem can pounce on him.

Nukem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Nukem takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Nukem tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Powell defends well and Nukem ends up having to push Powell into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Duke Nukem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nukem walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Nukem throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Powell swings for the body but Nukem moves out of range.
Nukem looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nukem uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Powell.

and Powell counters with a crisp right that sends Nukem to the canvas! Powell follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
