Kind was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kind takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hanson shoots in for a double leg but Kind sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Kind counters with a nice right hand that sends Hanson toppling to the canvas! Hanson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kind finish him?!

It looks like Rikkard Hanson has been cut.
We've been told by Kind's head coaches at Urban Achievers that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kind lands an uppercut, right on the button! Hanson tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Champ Kind!
A relieved looking Champ Kind thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
