Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ajax Bushiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Morris has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Morris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ajax Bushiri!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Ron Honeybunn and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris shoots in for a double leg but Bushiri sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bushiri should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bushiri stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bushiri wants it to stay on the feet.
Bushiri fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bushiri throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Morris tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bushiri is in Morris's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morris is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bushiri cracks Morris with a solid left hand.

Morris is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bushiri is aware though and is defending well.
Bushiri tries to free his leg and advance position but Morris is retaining full guard.
Bushiri is still trying to improve position.
Bushiri controlling from the top position.
Bushiri wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bushiri wants to get up but he can't break Morris's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Morris throws a right hand that Bushiri ducks under and follows up with a left that Bushiri also avoids with ease.
Bushiri wants to counter the offense by Morris and move into the clinch position.

Bushiri shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Morris trying to hold on to Bushiri's head to control him but Bushiri postures up.
Bushiri tries to pass the half guard into mount. Morris knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Morris moves into full guard.
Morris being controlled here, momentarily.

Morris is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bushiri trying to control the position from guard on top but Morris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Morris misses with a combination

and Bushiri counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bushiri misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Morris.
Morris goes for a takedown attempt but Bushiri pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Morris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bushiri fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morris sprawls well initially but Bushiri persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bushiri tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morris swivels and escapes.

Morris decides to pull guard.
Bushiri trying to control the position from guard on top but Morris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Morris looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bushiri is one step ahead there.
Morris not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bushiri is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Morris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Morris has escaped and now he's on top!

Bushiri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Morris looking to sit in guard and control but Bushiri gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Morris has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bushiri has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Bushiri is trying to stall.
Bushiri missing with knees to the body.
Morris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bushiri walks away with a smile on his face. Morris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bushiri shoots for a takedown but Morris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Morris rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bushiri moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bushiri lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Bushiri forces Morris back against the cage and clinches.
Morris is looking to control Bushiri's arms but Bushiri gets an underhook and turns him. Now Morris has his back to the cage.

Bushiri drags the fight down to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morris wants to control from the top but Bushiri keeps moving.
Morris stays in close to Bushiri's body and controls the position.
Bushiri is pulling down on Morris's head. It's preventing any offense from Morris, at least for the moment.

Bushiri looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Morris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bushiri looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bushiri wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Morris throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bushiri counters with a left and a right that stings Morris.
Nice takedown defense from Morris. No joy for Bushiri on that attempt.
Samuel Morris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ajax Bushiri.
Morris keeps the fight on the outside.

Bushiri shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Morris has one foot on Bushiri's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Bushiri is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Samuel Morris will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Bushiri has Morris up against the cage in a clinch.

Bushiri breaks the clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Morris crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bushiri - the referee stops the clock and Morris gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bushiri. Morris manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Samuel Morris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bushiri shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morris manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bushiri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bushiri moves in looking to clinch but Morris pushes him off.
Morris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bushiri is looking to clinch but Morris is avoiding it.
Morris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bushiri.
Morris shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bushiri sprawls well. Bushiri wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morris gets slowly back to his feet.
Bushiri darts in looking for a takedown but Morris gets double underhooks and turns Bushiri into the cage.

Morris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bushiri is not content to let Morris control the position.
Well, if Morris is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bushiri wants to control but Morris is keeping busy.

Morris is nestled in close to Bushiri, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Morris passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bushiri!

Bushiri makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bushiri.

Samuel Morris showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Morris has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
