Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christian Deacon Iii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Octavois Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deacon Iii gets tackled into the cage by Torres. Torres maintains the clinch.
Deacon Iii looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Torres tightens his grip and picks Deacon Iii up, before dumping him to the ground. Deacon Iii manages to land in guard.
Torres sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Torres working some strikes from top position.
Torres not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Deacon Iii is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Torres stays in close to Deacon Iii's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Torres gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Torres throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Deacon Iii was covering up waiting for the punch and Torres finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Torres gets to his feet. Deacon Iii looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Torres drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Torres is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Torres pushing down on Deacon Iii's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Torres stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Deacon Iii to get to his feet.

Torres shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Deacon Iii knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Torres on the ground.

Torres decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Deacon Iii, up you get!

Torres is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres slips nicely into half guard.

Torres seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Deacon Iii is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
