The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnaboldi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Arnaboldi , right into the meat.

Arnaboldi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shannon.
Shannon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shannon throws a right hand that Arnaboldi ducks under and follows up with a left that Arnaboldi also avoids with ease.
Arnaboldi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Shannon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Shannon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Arnaboldi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shannon.

and Arnaboldi counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Arnaboldi cracks Shannon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Arnaboldi throws a nice looking combination but Shannon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
