Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Dorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer tries to close the distance and clinch but Dorian swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dorian drops down looking for a counter takedown but Spencer sprawls and moves away.
Dorian misses with a hook
and Spencer counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Dorian throws a poor cross that misses
and Spencer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dorian shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spencer sprawls well. Spencer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dorian gets slowly back to his feet.
Spencer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Spencer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dorian shoots in and gets a takedown into Spencer's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dorian wants to pass the guard but Spencer is keeping the position.
Spencer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dorian has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dorian is in close to Spencer's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Spencer wants to stand up but Dorian is controlling him.
Spencer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dorian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dorian sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Spencer's guard.
Spencer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Spencer wants to get back to his feet.
Dorian drops an elbow to the side of Spencer's head.
Spencer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dorian.

Dorian looking for a submission but Spencer manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Spencer controls Dorian momentarily but Dorian frees himself.
Spencer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Dorian's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Spencer wants to stand but Dorian is controlling the position.

Dorian drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Spencer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dorian has Spencer in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Spencer is sitting in close to Dorian's body. Dorian has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Spencer is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Spencer is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Dorian.

A relieved looking John Dorian thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
