Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Hardie Rection (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockwell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Deez Nuts - Bout It. Hardie Rection has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randy Rockwell!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockwell throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rockwell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rockwell walks into a straight right hand from Rection.
Rockwell throws a hook but Rection avoids it easily.
Rockwell takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rockwell slips a straight right by Rection.
Rection uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rockwell.
Good leg kick by Rockwell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rection connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rection uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rockwell.

and Rection takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rockwell tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Rection manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rection loads up on a big right hand but Rockwell slips the punch.
Rection connects with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rockwell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rection.
Rection swats away the attempt to clinch by Rockwell.
Rockwell ducks right into an uppercut from Rection.

Rockwell misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rection avoids the head kick by Rockwell.
Rection swings for the body but Rockwell moves out of range.
Rockwell throws a hook but Rection avoids it easily.
Rection ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A slow jab from Rection misses its intended target.
Rockwell tries to clinch up.
Rection throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rockwell gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rockwell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rection looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Hardie Rection seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rockwell thows a leg kick but Rection checks it
and Rockwell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rection fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rockwell manages to avoid it.
Rockwell looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Rockwell finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rockwell misses with a straight right.

Rockwell throws a head kick but Rection moves out of range.
Rection is looking to counter punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rockwell misses with a hook. Rection ducked under it nicely.
Rockwell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rockwell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rection misses the jab.
Rection is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Rockwell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rockwell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rection.
Rockwell throws a big counter head kick but Rection avoids it with no problem.
Rockwell throws a body punch but Rection moves out of range.

Rockwell gets a clinch.
Rockwell blocks an uppercut.
Rection throws a punch but it's blocked by Rockwell.
Rockwell struggles to land a body shot inside as Rection controls his hands.
Rockwell is pushing Rection up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Rockwell lands a good knee to the midsection. Rection won't want to take too many of those.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hardie Rection will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rockwell lands with a right hand.
Rection pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A thudding body kick lands there by Rockwell!
Rockwell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rection blocks a head kick by Rockwell.
Rection feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rockwells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rockwell throws a head kick but Rection moves out of range.
Rection lands a right hook to the body.
Rockwell tries to move into range but Rection moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Rection showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rockwell.
Rection blocks a low kick nicely.
Rockwell missing with a left hand there. Rection was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rection will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rection throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rockwell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rockwell throws a body shot but no joy.
Rockwell blocks a jab.
Rection throws the left hand but Rockwell avoids the punch easily.
Rection takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rockwell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rection.

Rockwell scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Rockwell misses with a looping right.
Rection avoids the head kick by Rockwell.
Rection appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Rection is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rockwell.
