Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Prevost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Prevost is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prevost lands with a kick to the temple. Da Silva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Bruno Da Silva has been cut.
Prevost lunges at Da Silva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Da Silva's hand.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Prevost pushes off an fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Knees in the clinch landing for Prevost.

Prevost manages to break the clinch.
Prevost loads up on a big right hand but Da Silva slips the punch.
Prevost pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Prevost throws a series of punches but Da Silva moves out of range.

Prevost decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Da Silva has his foot on Prevost's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Prevost works his way back into a safe position though.

Prevost must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Da Silva is breathing heavily.

Da Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Prevost is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Da Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Prevost's back instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Prevost is trying to shake Da Silva off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Da Silva won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Prevost cracks Da Silva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Da Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Da Silva there as he acknowledges the shot.

Da Silva ducks under a wild hook from Prevost.
Da Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Prevost.
Da Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Prevost throws out the jab.
Da Silva attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Prevost looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Prevost scores with a kick to the midsection.

Da Silva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Da Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Prevost's guard.

Prevost wants to stand but Da Silva is controlling the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Da Silva is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Prevost is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
