Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacon comes to the cage accompanied by Just Like You Imagined by Nine Inch Nails. Liddell has chosen George Straits- The Fireman as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bacon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Liddell. Liddell obviously looking to wear him down.
Liddell throws a nice looking combination but Bacon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bacon takes one on the button.
Dan Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liddell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bacon kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dan Liddell just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Liddell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bacon manages to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Liddell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bacon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bacon is breathing heavily.

A jab lands there for Liddell.
Liddell dances in with a quick combination. Bacon is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Liddell snaps Bacon's head back. Bacon stumbles backwards against the cage. Liddell steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Bacon's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Bacon just didn't come prepared.
